 Sun Rideshare Commuter Contest Mar. 2010

Everyone can play in March – Enjoy Tucson with your family

Everyone entered in the Sun Rideshare commuter database by March 31, 2010 will qualify for the prize drawing.  Four commuters will be selected from all the entries to win one of the following prizes:

  • Arizona Sonora Desert Museum – Annual membership plus a $50 gift card.  $100 value.
  • Old Tucson Studios – 4 general admission tickets, plus barbecue for four.  $128 value
  • Pima Air and Space Museum – Annual membership plus a $40 gift card.  $100 value

A grand prize will be awarded to the one commuter who has the most alternative mode one way commute trips from the start of the Sun Rideshare Commuter Contest, December 1, 2009.  November is not included, because commuter trips were not required for the contest.  Please enter your commute trips only.   The grand prize:

  • UA Presents – $200 gift card to purchase tickets for any performance, including WICKED.

The winner will be posted here each month and contacted by PAG to collect their prize. The contest rules and prizes will change each month. All contests start on the first day of the month and end at midnight on the last day of the month. You may only win once.

If you become a fan of Sun Rideshare on Facebook you will receive sneak previews of the next month's contest. Updates will be sent to all fans 2-3 days before the new contest begins.
PAG reserves the right to disqualify any entry for not abiding by the contest rules.

February 2010 Sun Rideshare Commuter Contest Results and Winners

In February, 83 commuters recorded their vanpool, walk, and telework commutes in the Commute Calendar.  31 commuters qualified for the contest.  A total of 1,177 alternative mode trips were reported, which reduced 21,826 vehicle miles traveled.

The commuter with the most trips in February was Georgia S. from Citi with 40 telework trips.  The other winners were:

David W. a vanpooler from Indian Health Services – 22 trips
Dennis W. a vanpooler from Raytheon – 34 trips
Victoria S. a vanpooler from Raytheon – 25 trips
Patrick B. a walker from UA – 22 trips
Bethan C. a walker from UA – 37 trips
Noel O. a walker from Pima County – 30 trips
