The Tucson region has an intermodal transportation system with two interstates, an international airport, a rail line, public transit, and several state highway routes. Pima Association of Governments has completed plans on the status of development along intermodal routes and continues to monitor the system to assist in regional planning efforts for expansion opportunities.
