2040 Regional Transportation Plan

Pima Association of Governments has updated the region’s long-range transportation plan, called the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). Looking ahead 30 years, we have identified the most efficient improvements to our transportation system so that we can build livable communities for ourselves and future generations. 

In December 2011, PAG began a process to update and amend the 2040 RTP to include a project put forward by the Arizona Department of Transportation, the additional widening of I-10. Details about the update/amendment process are provided at right:

 

Thanks to everyone who submitted comments to the 2040 RTP. Your input is critical to having a plan that reflects the communities values and priorities. PAG received 99 comment forms during the final 30-day public comment period. Click on the link above to see the comments submitted and a summary of responses to the comments.

Spring 2012 RTP Update/Amendment

In December 2011, PAG began a process to update and amend the 2040 RTP to include a project put forward by the Arizona Department of Transportation, the additional widening of I-10. Details about the update/amendment process are provided below:

The 30-day public comment period for the 2040 RTP update/amendment began on Feb. 15, 2012. The PAG Regional Council will consider the update/amendment for adoption at its regularly scheduled meeting at noon on Thursday, March 29, 177 N. Church Ave., 5th Floor Main Conference Room, Tucson.

Mobility Matters

Mobility refers to the movement of people and goods. The Mobility Matters theme reflects the need for a long-range plan designed to move people and goods to their destinations
