'All About Water' Presentations

Does your community group or organization want to learn more about water resources, quality or management in the Tucson region? PAG Watershed Planning staff is available to present an overview of these topics to your group. Call (520) 792-1093 or e-mail czucker@pagnet.org to set up 20- to 30-minute presentations on these topics.
In 2007, PAG’s Watershed Program created an overview water presentation called “Thirsty for Answers.” This 75-minute presentation provides an inclusive summary of water resource and management issues. A link to the PowerPoint is located to the right for your consideration.

Thirsty for Answers: Water Supply in the Desert

In June 2007, PAG's Watershed Planning Program presented a series of public meetings throughout Pima County to help raise the public's overall knowledge about the region's water resources. The presentation provided a broad framework for how water is managed in the region and an opportunity to discuss the various water sources and personal water use choices, such as conservation and water harvesting. The presentation used at the meetings can be viewed below. Please contact Claire Zucker at 792-1093 if you would like to arrange a presentation for your group or organization.
Each presentation was followed by a question and answer period. PAG is currently creating a Frequently Asked Questions page which will be based on the questions that were asked at the meetings. These FAQs will be posted here as soon as they are available. In addition, we created a list of frequently used terms (128KB PDF) to help you better understand the presentation. Many other terms are defined within the presentation. |
