The following locations are available in Pima County for tire disposal and recycling:
Pima County Tangerine Road Tire & Green Waste Facility
10220 W. Tangerine Road
The Pima County Department of Environmental Quality, Solid Waste Management Division accepts waste tires from residential and commercial customers. Tires are accepted at the Tangerine Road site Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents may bring up to 5 standard passenger vehicle tires per year. To dispose of more than five tires, call (520) 740.3340.
Handling fees for tires are $30 per ton for passenger tires, with a minimum fee of $15, and $150 per ton for off-road tires, with a minimum fee of $30. A handling fee of $75 is charged for any loads with rims.
City of Tucson Los Reales Landfill
5300 E. Los Reales Rd.
Residents may bring up to 5 standard passenger vehicle tires to Los Reales Landfill for a $10 fee. Quantities of more than 5 tires for an individual resident are not accepted. (Business-generated tires, truck and other oversize tires are not accepted at this location).
Note: City of Tucson Environmental Services also accepts up to 5 tires per household, free of charge during the semi-annual Brush & Bulky cleanup program for neighborhoods within the City of Tucson limits only.
