 Jurisdictional News

Students from local high schools are asked to submit their original artwork with a clean air message as part of the 2009 Clean Air Days & Bike Fest. The winning artwork will be displayed on the exterior of a Sun Tran bus that will appear at Clean Air Days events, as well as be driven throughout our community.

A partnership of Pima County, the City of Tucson, Sun Tran, Pima Association of Governments, Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Town of Sahuarita, Town of Marana, Town of Oro Valley, Pima Community College and the American Lung Association, Clean Air Days is an annual event that provides opportunities for the community to learn about reducing air pollution and traffic congestion.

Artwork should focus on ways to keep our air clean and protect our environment, including: carpooling; using cleaner-burning fuels; riding the bus; biking and walking.  All artwork must be two-dimensional, such as a painting, drawing, graphic design, or other similar formats. Entries must be received by Feb. 1, 2009.

For details on the art contest and information on how to submit an application, visit www.suntran.com or call (520)206-8881.
